Kraków is a coffee paradise. New cafes pop out each time I happen to come back. Even when I still wasn’t fluent in the language of coffee, I always knew where to go to satisfy my developing coffee taste buds.
My personal list of the best 3 coffee shops (too) easily found in Kraków!
- KARMA, Krupnicza 12
First thing first, Karma. This is my long time favourite, quality you can always rely on. In Karma I rediscovered Australian flat white that I got addicted to during my first Australian trip. Once I moved to Dubai, Karma was always my first port-of-call while visiting Kraków. They roast beans in their own coffee roasters on Wawrzyńca street and their blends are more and more popular with other up-and-coming cafes in the city. Karma team bake cakes, quiches, tarts and cook yummy vegetarian breakfasts and lunches (Karma is just one of many vegetarian places on the map of Kraków). Definitely a place to try!
2. WESOŁA, Rakowicka 17
Wesoła opened its door just before I left Kraków. Hard as it was to make up for lost time, this place is so good I made sure I did! This cafe is conveniently located just outside the main bus and railway station. Great traditional-style breakfasts and even better cakes. They serve delicious specialty coffee and brew super nice daily filter. Wesoła is always a good idea, even if you don’t have a bus or train to catch, because ‘It’s better to drink coffee than not’, as their catchy motto says.
3. BLOSSOM, Rakowicka 20
My latest accidental discovery which turned out to be a hit. Great coffee prepared by passionate people who love (and know!) what they’re doing. They also serve amazing breakfasts and bakery products, with vegan and vegeterian options available. High quality of beans with a focus on specialty coffee. Warm and cosy spot where everyone feels welcome!
